It has come to our attention that some of our customers have received text messages from fraudsters pretending to be from the Bank notifying cardholders that their Debit Card has been locked.  The message gives a phone number to call and proceeds to ask the cardholder to verify the full card number, and asks for expiration date and CVV. Now the fraudster has all the information to go shopping or make cash withdrawals with the card and PIN.

URSB’s Fraud Call Center will NOT request the cardholder’s SSN, PIN or CVV and will NOT initiative a call to the cardholder asking for the Full Card number. Cardholders need to be alert for any attempt to gain information. If you have any doubts as to the legitimacy of the call, please reach out to a URSB bank representative.
